Since we bought this house, we have wanted to plant a tree in the yard and we finally did it! We bought an Autumn Blaze Maple and John and Luke set to work digging the hole. After a lot of dirt was dug, the tree made it into the ground - surrounded by new dirt and cow poop (Luke was not very happy about this). Luke wanted to eat lunch outside so he could watch the tree grow. Although it is a fast growing tree, I hope he is not disappointed in how long it will take the tree to grow taller than our house.

Currently owning 9 trees in a 25x150ft space, I am wondering "Why would you plant a tree in your yard when you have to pick up the leaves every fall?" Just kidding! :) Fall is already on my mind. It does look like Luke had a great time helping his dad plant the new tree! Good job Luke!
